Native American Tobacco Ceremony

I have a wide number of applications for a special type of prayer called “Tobacco Ceremony.” The divine messenger, White Buffalo Calf Pipe Woman, brought the “Tobacco Ceremony” to us some 500 years ago. I will typically use this ceremony when clearing haunting activity.

With this prayer ceremony, I found that I can anchor light anywhere, block-in or block-out any form of energy or entity, and “clear” an area of unwanted influences. For example, I felt the energies were “off” at one psychic fair I was at. I went outside and quietly walked around the building, doing the ceremony, giving thanks and asking that anyone, energy or entity be excluded from the building if it is not “working for the Light” or if it is not there for the betterment of all. Ten minutes afterwards, two of the “psychics” quickly packed up and left. I had never thought about them, either. Interesting, huh? I know a “channeler” that can’t do readings in an area I’ve done ceremony on. What does that say about what was being channeled?

You don’t need to smoke or use a special pipe. What I do is offer a pinch of the dry herbs in each direction. You may also choose to burn the herbs on a charcoal to offer the smoke. I carry a pouch filled with a generic mixture of tobacco, sage, cedar and sweetgrass, which is symbolic of the four directions. Other tribes use other herbs.

Let’s do it, shall we? Place yourself in a state of grace. Begin with an open prayer/invocation, and then start by facing EAST (or what you perceive as east), which is the start of the Medicine Wheel, holding a nice little handful of your herbs. Raise your hand offering the herbs, and begin by addressing the “Grandparents of the East”. The “Grandparents” referred to in this ceremony, includes ancestors, ascended masters, angels and the spiritual hierarchy of the planet. Give thanks to the Grandparents for all of their assistance, offer your handful of herbs and ask them for their assistance once again (insert request here), thank them in advance for their help and drop a pinch of the herbs in their direction. Do this exactly the same way facing SOUTH addressing the “Grandparents of the South”, then WEST, then NORTH. Then kneel to address the EARTH MOTHER beneath your feet, making sure to thank her for feeding you and giving you a place to live, and offer the herbs and your special request and thanks. Then stand again and talk to SKY FATHER (God, Creator, Wakan-Tanka, etc.) offering herbs, thanks, your request, and thanks in advance for this assistance, and dropping some dry herbs. Any breeze will carry the herbs to where they need to go. It is done. Give thanks. Whatever you asked for is on its way if your intent was correct and pure. This is the short form. White Buffalo Calf Pipe Woman’s version is considerably more involved.

If you are a smoker, you can do this ceremony very casually and even surreptitiously. Light up a fresh cigarette, face east, offer the smoke from your hand as you pray, then take a deep draught and mentally exhale the prayers as you blow the smoke carrying your prayers up to the Grandparents of each direction as described above. Works just fine. It’s the intent that matters.

I will remind you of the importance of Universal Law when doing “ceremony”. Prayer, especially a focused prayer like this, is a powerful form of thought/energy transmission. You will get back that energy multiplied in accordance with your intent in putting the energy out to begin with. Some people say it is multiplied three times, but in truth there is no ceiling on the multiplication aspect. So, for example, if you pray for advancement on your job, ask that it be done in harmony and for the best and highest good of all concerned… not just yourself. I know one lady that did ceremony to get a promotion, and got it, but because it was not done in a harmonious way, she was fired a month later. You can do ceremony to attract a new love to your life, by putting your “spec sheet” out in this prayer ceremony, but you cannot manipluate any person in particular as that will backlash on you. You get the idea.

Why Psychics May Not Work…

I had long since noticed that even though a given psychic reader may have excellent status and reputation within the community, and even with me as well (that’s a whole ‘nother thing), that they can’t seem to read me worth a hoot. I’ve had some readers try to tell me all sorts of crap that they thought I would do, according to their prognostications… and of course, they were dead wrong.  One told me that I would divorce my husband. Another said I would have an affair. Another said I was thinking of having an affair. You name it, they’ve said it.

I have long since known that there are people that are psychic as all get-out that are NOT on a spiritual path. Being psychic and being spiritual are two completely different things.

I commented about this to a good friend who happens to be a natural psychic. She summarized things quite well:  When you are really on the path, you have given yourself to God, and naturally hold yourself to a higher code of conduct and are completely outside the realm of ego dramas. When you are on the path, you enjoy a level of protection that the other people don’t have.

The Fine Art of Copping-Out

Being “on the path” eventually means detaching from all of the drama and entanglements that we came into with our birth families, and by extension, that which we wander into in the workplace and other social environments.  The ability to emotionally detach while maintaining a mild-enough interest to follow such interpersonal events is what the Buddhists call “compassionate detachment”.  In other words… we’re there for the other people in our lives, but we can’t be embroiled in their little ego-dramas.  

We can love the other people in our lives enough to leave them the hell alone. We can also choose to get involved just enough to ask a few questions in order to get them to think things through and possibly help them to understand and release any operative patterns they may have.  Of course, there is a point where one must back off in order to allow that person to grow. 

I have noticed a lexicon developing around “compassionate detachment”.   When someone tries to enforce their ego’s point of view, we may calmly say something like “Whatever.” or “Isn’t that interesting?” or “Oh, is that right?”   Each phrase is an acknowledgement of the person bothering us, and each has its own feeling, while still being generally non-confrontational or non-argumentative.  People like to be acknowledged, so it’s nice to do that, while not getting embroiled in their crap.  

If someone is really trying to drag you into some kind of drama, for example, looking for someone to take their side in an argument.  Then your acknowledging comment can escalate to something along the lines of  “Well, I’m not really interested in that. ” or “I’m not involved.” or “It’s really none of my business.” or “That’s between you two to work out.” or perhaps even “Talk to the hand.”   You get the idea.  The idea is to draw a boundary that such people will know not to cross.  If it pisses them off, so what? They’ll move on to the next drama. 

This is especially important to remember during the holiday season, when people are dragged together out of some feeling of obligation, and usually get stressed out being forced to be nice to people they have yet to resolve differences with. Ever notice why the bars are open on Christmas?  When the family celebration is over, people will go unwind at a bar, glad to have Christmas over with. What I’m suggesting here is that you change your own attitude and demeanor and avoid the bar altogether. 

So what if your sister doesn’t like your pecan pie recipe? Why not invite her to make it this year? Or you both can make your own versions.  Offer to make something else.  Offer to just show up with an appetite. Nothing is worth getting stressed over.  Maybe she’s jealous of your recipe, or it’s some kind of control thing.  Maybe she wants to be the hero. You don’t have to play her game, do you?  Nope.  Learn to detach and go with the flow.  

Okay, so you’ve got a battle-axe sister-in-law that’s actively rude to you and acts like she’s doing everyone a favor by being there.  Let her have the friggin’ kitchen.  “Oh, I see you have this well under control so I’ll just leave you to it.” Go to another room. Avoid the bitch.  She’ll eventually divorce out of the family and you won’t have to deal with her at all.  

Your feathers cannot be ruffled if you don’t allow it. Shift your consciousness.  Be like a really big rock in the middle of a stream… the water babbles and flows around you, but you are unmoved. You’ll find that you don’t have to defend yourself if you don’t get worked up over anything and don’t get sucked into anyone else’s drama.  The Zen of the Rat’s Ass.

Proper Smudging Technique for Clearings

I just noticed that, even though I have always included instructions on how to do a proper Tobacco Ceremony on my assorted blogs and my electronic books, I somehow forgot to include these important instructions on my blogsite for easy access.

If you are one of a score or more of people who have contacted me asking for help in dealing with the negative side of the paranormal, I have likely either instructed you by e-mail, coaching you over the phone, or I just sent you the PDF of my e-book, “Fat-Free Spirituality” so you could get it for yourself.  I’d rather coach people to do it for themselves, thereby empowering them to help others. The ol’ spoon-feeding syndrome isn’t good for the collective consciousness.

When the typical person comes to the realization that they really are being haunted, it is normal to panic. So much of so-called “western civilization” is geared around denial of the spirit world and higher dimensions. Most people start their search for paranormal help by reaching out to clergy only to be rebuffed or told to find a psychiatrist… and it is a sobering experience after a lifetime of mainstream religious indoctrination to realize that the support isn’t a two-way street. The next thing most people do nowadays is to get on the internet… which is where most people find me. Yes, I do get referrals from members of various friends and paranormal research groups. I prefer to empower people through instruction, but some folks are too scared to attempt the D.I.Y. approach, at which point I will offer to do a cleansing, whether by remote or in person, for a modest fee.

In getting the background on the haunting activity, I usually tune in and check for the presence of geopathic phenomena, and I always ask whether there is use of prescription medications, alcohol or pot in the household.

The first stage of clearing is e-mailing the person the “White Light” symbol from the Joray tradition, to print out on both paper or on Avery label stock for them grid their house by slapping the symbol to the ceilings of closets, behind every picture on the walls, and preferably stapled to the inside of the roof facing down into the house from the attic. The symbol takes the house to a higher court and typically makes any ghosts very uncomfortable… it is serving them “notice of eviction”.

The next thing to do is prepare to “smudge”, which is a Native American technique. You need a sage and cedar smudge stick for this. If you can’t find one of these locally, you can either order them on-line or from me. You will need to hold something underneath that smudge stick so you don’t spread embers as you walk through the house… most use an abalone shell, but a salad plate with work perfectly.

Smudging is typically my second stage of clearing. Once you have the basic implements ready, you crack open the front door, make a prayer (out loud) invoking your angels and ascended masters to come in and assist you, then light the cedar and sage smudge stick.  You begin by going to the back of the house smudging each room in a clockwise circle, while talking to the ghosts. Tell the ghosts that this is your home and that they have to leave it, preferably to go into the Light since they are no longer in physical form. Keep smudging and talking until you’ve chased them out the front door. In multi-level houses the smudging must be repeated on each floor, again, working from the back of the house forward until they are chased out the front door. It is especially important to point out that ghosts like to hide in the in-between places such as attics, air conditioning intake vents, stairways and closets, so these must also be smudged. When you are done, close the front door and “seal” that door by smudging it in a clockwise motion. All of these actions must be done with focused INTENT. More advanced spiritual practitioners will talk with such entities and then walk them into the Light to make sure they get there.

The third stage of clearing is doing “Tobacco Ceremony” both outside and inside the house. I prefer doing outside first because it has a pressure cooker effect.

The fourth stage of clearing is to do an energy clearing on anyone in the household. Any etheric cords must be cut, their energy field must be cleansed, and any chakras have to be unblocked. The first thing that most poltergeists do is “slime” people’s head chakras to keep them from realizing the ghosts are there.

Frickin’ Demagogue Wannabes

Okay… being a Wiccan does not make you a witch, or vice-versa.  Having been trained for any length of time by a “medicine man” does not make you a “medicine man/woman”.  Going on a vision quest (or whatever) doesn’t make you a shaman.  Having a past-life memory is not a basis for going out and teaching some ill-considered, poorly researched, half-assed course at some new age center. Owning a tarot deck does not make you a psychic reader. Running around with a bunch of expensive electronic equipment does not make you a “paranormal researcher” or a “ghost-buster”.  Owning an auto-focus snapshot camera does not make you a professional photographer, either. 

I run into people claiming to be “this and that” all the time, particularly in new age/metaphysical circles.  I’ve also noticed that many of these people seem to be on psychiatric medication.  I’m serious.  It is a shame that they apparently don’t have enough self-esteem to stand on their own, or enough integrity to do the research and gain the knowledge. I realize that all these claims come from a basis of desiring to be “special” or to stand out from the crowd. Perhaps it is the appeal of assumed authority without any responsibility attached. 

What’s bad is that these sillies occasionally take the newbies (newly awakened) for a ride, often setting them back in their developmental journey.  Of course the flip side of that is the lesson of discernment. Life is, after all, one big-ass classroom.  All I can say is “keep your scopes up, kids.” I’ll try to illustrate this set of my pet peeves. 

When you claim yourself as “this or that”, expect people to watch you and eventually challenge you. I ran into one woman who claimed to be a medicine woman and practicing witch, among other things.  Well… she’s on psychiatric medication, she’s physically sick, her kid is in permanent custody of her ex-in-laws because she pulled a few too many dramatic episodes on them, she cannot hang onto a committed relationship for more than a year or so, she’s a sex-addict, she’s always hurting for money, and she’s perpetually unemployed. She wants to start her own craft business, but wouldn’t work a major festival (for a commission on what she sold) with a friend who is an established vendor. The networking opportunity alone would have been worth her while.  She enjoys playing the victim and sluffing-off responsibility.  Now, does this sound like someone who is in control of her life/reality?  Would you really want this person for a teacher and what would you expect this person to teach you?  Well… actually she really is in control of her reality… but she doesn’t realize it.  I guess that’s the point. She hasn’t recognized the patterns she is in.  That’s not a “medicine woman” that’s a woman on medicine. There is a difference. 

Working so many psychic fairs over the years, I’ve run into at least 4 readers who are on psychiatric medications, which says a lot for their level of development. How much of what they would have to say in a reading would you be willing to accept?  Some try to teach classes and give lectures… usually something that’s already been packaged. Some simply cannot hold a regular job. I know people who really make their living doing readings, and they’re damn good at it. It’s a whole different ballgame when a “reader” is simply trying to make some pocket change to supplement their disability payment. A good way to spot these is their assumed names.  People with integrity don’t require an alter ego to do business.

Another good way to spot a fake is to look for a bunch of fancy terminology with no real effort to explain it. A sales pitch for their upcoming megabucks course is not an appropriate explanation. The more jargon they hide behind, the more likely it will cost a lot of money to learn what the hell it is they’re talking about, and it will likely be the same old bullshit repackaged and perfumed. There are several sparkling examples of this in the Houston area. One woman literally repackaged the old “Flower of Life” merkaba course, selling it as the “Breath of Light”.   When a newbie brings up one of their names, I ask whether the mumbo-jumbo jargon puzzled them.  

When looking at a possible teacher, look at the level of drama and/or quality of their life. Are they calm and serene? Are they manic and desperate? How do they react to adversity?  Is this what you want to emulate?  Can they teach you something, or will you be the teacher?  You’d be surprised at how many times I’ve given the answer to a question that a teacher couldn’t.

Granted, we’re all teachers and we’re all students. Each of us starts with a little piece of the puzzle and we have to find a way to put it all together. I’d say it’s a matter of avoiding the detours while learning the game.

Your Inner Old Fart

Granted a lot of old “Inner Child” issues are coming up because of Chiron Retrograde, and there’s always something new to deal with surfacing… kind of like peeling away layers of an onion. Yes, you do have to go look at the stuff that happened in your childhood to see how that’s been affecting you as an adult. You do have to release those nasty things that were said or done to you, and forgive the buggers that said or did that stuff.  You have to find where it is influencing your current patterns and defeat that old programming.

 For example, a lady friend of mine was always treated as “second class” by her parents, that she wasn’t good enough or desired… naturally this had an influence on her self-esteem. She went in for hypnotherapy to see what happened.  It turns out that she was actually the second child born to her parents, the first child was a boy that had been still-born. They wanted a boy.  The hypnotherapist took my friend back to her earliest memory as a baby, and it was just as she was being presented to her parents in the recovery room. As her mother held her she said, with a disappointed tone, “It’s a girl.”  She wasn’t the replacement son they wanted, and now they were stuck with this girl. That’s where my friend’s self-esteem issues came from, so she was able to deal with it from there.

 That said, the inner child is a demanding little brat, and there is only so far you can go with pandering to it. Do your excavating and get it done with, because there is something a lot more interesting to learn about and achieve synthesis with for greater empowerment… your “Inner Old Fart”.

 You remember the Wiccan trinity concept of Maiden/Mother/Crone?  We live in a youth-worshipping culture, or haven’t you noticed?  Young, tight bodies run by young, stupid brains are paraded all over the mass media.  The mid-life years of parenthood are the most productive years we know, where most of us amass most of our fortunes to last us through the final stages of life.  Why doesn’t our society like to acknowledge the Crone? Why are the older folks discarded so readily?  Why do we have to cover our wrinkles?  Our elders are supposed to be the keepers of our collective wisdom, and in many societies they are revered as such.

 Your Inner Old Fart is your future self.  So how do you view your future? You know that your longevity and quality of life is all up to you and your actions right now.  Are you going to be footloose and free after you “retire”?  Are you going to be active and healthy then?  Are you going to be a sharp old codger to lead the next generation of seekers?   Are you going to proudly name your own time of transition or are you going to do that steady down-the-toilet spiral into the nursing home and oblivion?  Are you going to be herded from one way-station to the next by someone wielding this society’s current throw-away culture value system?  If you have your head up your ass, don’t be too surprised when it isn’t so easy to pull it out of there.

 How about the Old Fart attitude?  The Inner Old Fart is cannily looking at all aspects of what is going on around you, analyzing and passing judgment with reference to whether you’ll bother going along with any of it.  What’s the angle?  What’s in it for me? Why bother?  Why do I want to get involved? Will it still be important a couple of months or years from now?  Get used to making people justify the “why and wherefore” of everything.  Remember that nobody can make you do anything.  You will find that by looking at the angles, particularly the angles on your money and health, that most of “the system” is NOT there for your best and highest good.  The Old Fart cannot be snookered into or out of anything. The Old Fart realizes that no matter what, you are responsible because it is your own choice.  “Sorry honey, go sell that crap somewhere else.”  There’s a lot of freedom in telling people where to get off.

Granted, if you are still too young to be a real Old Fart, you may have to internalize some of the Old Fart talk while you act quietly from that wisdom.  You know you’ve arrived at the Old Fart stage when you smart off and people think it’s cute.  Believe me, there’s nothing cuter than an 80 year-old telling some fool to “kiss my grits”. 

In short, the Inner Old Fart is the Zen of the Rat’s Ass taken into the next living level. Yes, there is truly a lot of power to be gained from attaining synthesis with one’s Inner Old Fart.

Uptick in Alien Activity

Long-time Lightworkers generally have a lot of experience in dealing with UFOs and alien visitations.  A bunch of people I know are experiencing a marked increase in visitations and sightings. I live in the Houston area, which is on a coastal plain that tends to hold smog in place, much like Mexico City or Los Angeles. When I notice stars in the sky, they tend to be either fixed (like the big dipper) or really big and obvious.  In the past couple of years, and even more this year, a number of people have noticed such phenomena as: clouds going behind the moon, “stars” going behind the moon, two moons at the same time, the moon moving in an obvious manner (as in seeming to follow a person), stars that should be at a fairly normal distance from the moon changing their position by a noticeably wide margin from one night to the next.

I’ve laid out in the yard at my parents’ house up in Centerville, TX, well away from the city smog, and watched the action-packed sky. Centerville is along the I-45 corridor between Houston and Dallas… I can also tell you that our commercial aircraft are not the only beings using this corridor. Some of the lights up there that were alternately moving or staying stationary were clearly NOT commercial aircraft.

I often wake up to the feeling of presences in my room, often hearing an odd high-pitched tone late at night, and occasionally the sounds of voices talking (but not in recognizable words), my dreams will shift to being more frightening during these times as well. I invoke my angels and request assistance when I become aware of things happening. I’ve been making it a point to ask Archangel Psion to send his associate angels to protect me during these periods. I tend to catch up on my sleep when I do my Transcendental Meditation program in the afternoon or evening.

Recently, a customer of mine was telling me how she was being “told” that she was being prepared to channel Jesus himself very soon, and that she didn’t need to study any more, and that this presence would tell her all that she needed to know. I am long familiar with the pitfalls of newbies who open themselves to channel in an effort to fast-track their development. I tuned in and found that she has some aliens trying to call the shots. Rather than bursting her bubble, I told her that what she told me sent up some red flags and that she needed to start testing these presences and their information in a number of ways.

My friend up in Tomball, TX, spent most of her life living along the I-45 corridor between NASA and points north, and has been experiencing alien phenomena all her life as well. A couple years back, a group of very high-looking aliens used her big yard as a vacation spot. This friend experienced an alien home invasion last night. After a day of packing excess items for storage so she could put her house on the market, she drifted off to sleep, waking to the sound of at least 7 people inside her house, tromping around on the newspapers she was using in packing. She was frozen in fear and elected to “play possum”. She experienced one of them using some sort of device to paralyze her legs. This normally unshakeable woman was so frightened that she couldn’t remember most of the basic methods that commonly work to ward these guys away. What got them to leave was her getting out of fear and “giving up” (to the effect of being willing to accept whatever they wish to dole out, whether it included her death or not), which effectively quit feeding them (they eat fear like pop-corn). After they left, she got up and looked around to find that they have fished around in her kitchen cabinets, turned on the TV and radio, and moved some stuff around. She checked on her husband, who said that he saw some beings over him that looked like my friend, only with a blank face. He knew it was my friend for real when she walked in carrying a handgun and calling him by name. They compared notes and she discovered that she had 3 hours of missing time. No, she didn’t get a look at them.

I have a buddy in Santa Fe, NM who has witnessed and experienced such a wide array of phenomena, it is hard to recount all of it. My friend has been an experiencer from her early childhood onwards, when she was actually taken up in spaceships to see the Earth from space. She has been kidnapped and forced to do a number of things… everything from making and tending half-alien babies, to performing the hula for aliens as little as 2 years ago. She has witnessed new varieties of aliens popping up out there in Santa Fe and environs… there is a truly nasty pale-skinned, white haired and blue eyed alien race that make the standard gray reptilians look tame. She found out that the bigger reptilians like to drink Drano to get drunk. There is another variety of aliens that dress up as biker gangs with weird motorcycles that literally do their best to run people off the roads. There is another variety of aliens she calls “robo-cops” that drive around in “off-looking” police cars that you can’t see into. She has been followed by big balloon-like crafts (think “Rover” from The Prisoner TV series) both while hiking in the mountains as while driving home from the market. Lately she has seen how a particular super-thick darkness descends, enveloping a room or house, blanking out all light in the surroundings… her defense is to jump up, turn on as many lamps as she can, and yell at the aliens to get the hell out.

No-Eyes’ Prophesies

The other night I was knocking around my workroom, and out popped my copy of “Phoenix Rising” by Mary Summer Rain. It is about No-Eyes’ vision about this time frame of transition we are in. Looking through the lists in the back of the book, about the various stages of the days of the phoenix… we’ve already seen a lot of the prophesies fulfilled, and we can see the bigger, nastier ones walking down the street.

* Bush is currently trying to stack the courts to become impotent to strike down bad laws or to uphold our Constitution. The Supreme Court is predicted to be making some very bad decisions in the next few years… bad enough to send people into the streets in protest.
* There’s gonna be a lot more American soldiers all over the world fighting. Terrorism, discord between countries, undeclared wars, clandestine activities, high level secrecy. It will go to a nuclear exchange (this was predicted before the invention of DU missiles) in a number of places, including U.S. soil.
* Trade deficits between nations will become crippling, and many will default on loans, leading to economic hardships, discord and saber-rattling the world over.
* Jobs are being outsourced in staggering numbers, which will cause staggering amounts of unemployment, which will cause waves of consumers to default on loans. The post-9/11 cheap credit spending frenzy is coming back to roost. The financial PACs are already lobbying to make it impossible to file for bankruptcy. If enough people lose their jobs, then real estate will lose its value.
* Excessive taxation, particulary of the people who can least afford to pay. The Republicans have been overreaching on all levels. In Texas, Gov. Perry unveiled H.B. #3, which taxes the people with the lowest income at an additional 5%, while the taxes get lower further up the income scale… up to $80,000 a year pay 2.66% and those earning six figures get a huge tax cut. Insane.
* Stock market misdealings and decline. Increase in corporate crime. Duh. Enron and WorldCom are just the tip of the iceberg. There will also be a lot of small business failures, factory shut-downs, and construction decline.
* It will come down to cash becoming the only accepted tender.
* Major devastation in California, earthquakes in new areas, record-breaking flooding, soil erosion, intensified hurricane devastation, increased tornado activity and damage, sinkholes, rapid temperature inversion, crippling winters, higher pollution levels, widespread surface blazes, greenish hue to atmosphere. Mt. St. Helens is getting jiggy again, Yellowstone Park is seriously active, and they’re seeing earthquakes on both the southeast and southwest coast of Canada. Expect to see major stuff along the New Madrid Fault.
* Disease outbreaks, rise in homicide/suicide, germ warfare release accident… predicted long before chemtrails, but probably including some more direct and intentional releases intended to kill off large masses of the populace. Given the contempt that the Bush’s neocons have for everyone that isn’t making beaucoups of big bucks, I wouldn’t be surprised to see that coming down in the next couple of years.
* No more separation of church and state. As the religious leaders buy and demand influence in the affairs of state, the state will eventually start meddling in church affairs. Religious oppression. More religious groups going to court to force their restrictions on the public. The masses will question all of it… about bloody time.
* Increased UFO sightings and interaction with other intelligences. Just wait till Bush’s guys start seeing the transdimensional aliens that have been hovering around them for years.
* Widespread acceptance of the paranormal and ongoing life after death.
* Nuclear disasters, including several close calls with nuclear power plants. No-Eyes said there will be two catastrophic melt-downs, seeping radioactive dump sites, radioactive pollution of land/rivers, radioactive releases due to geological instability, major accidents during transport of nuclear missiles and/or waste.
* Taxation refusals. War resistance. Draft evasion. People’s revolt and resistance movements. Public’s discovery of coverups. Riots.
* Major upheavals within governments.

We’re pretty much there, gang. Let’s make the best of it. Know where your food is, know your land, know where your water is. Gather and learn all you can about natural curatives. Get into your bliss and gather the true power of the gifts of Spirit while you can. That inner work is your ticket through the mess. A lot of people are becoming awakened nowadays, too. I know because I am making and selling a record number of custom pendulums.

On the other side of all this predicted upheaval, we can expect a greatly whittled-down population to be living in harmony with the land, using non-polluting energy sources, growing their own food, and adapting Native American philosophies and ways of living. It is worth hanging in there for.

The Channeling Trap

Gosh… how to address this one… I’ve seen all sorts of “channelers” over my past 20 years in the new age movement.

I’ve seen good channelers go bad pretty regularly… they start out with the best information and energies coming through, but make the “mistake of ego” and the next entity to pick up the phone turns out to be a complete dud. I’ve seen channelers go from building a hefty business, charging hundreds for a short reading, and even starting their own churches, to having to drop all of it and go get a day job when enough people discovered they had been taken in.

I’ve seen people that were not very specific about WHAT they wanted to channel, so they brought in really nasty beings and went about the psychic fair circuit thinking they could do no wrong. One of these, a fellow named Lenny, would open to channel and the vibe would get really funky, so if I saw him setting up at a given psychic fair, I would very surreptitiously walk about doing Tobacco Ceremony to both anchor Divine Light and to exclude anything or anyone not working for God’s Light. Ol’ Lenny would open to channel to find that his entities were stuck out in the parking lot. He’d pack up and head home. He only did that twice before he got the message and didn’t do that particular psychic fair again. Last I heard about that guy is that he was dying of cancer. As above, so below.

As you know, you CAN channel… and you will only be able to channel what you are capable of handling. If you are not very spiritually developed, it is possible to bring in a very high-vibration being (whether entity, angel, alien or ascended master) to begin with, but that being will eventually get tired of your base behavior and turn his/her back on you, leaving the next entity to pick up the phone… and that is usually something yucky.

The old school channelers like Jane Roberts and Edgar Cayce didn’t live very long because the energies of the entities they served as the mouthpieces for, were of such high energies that their bodies burned out.  

I know people who were pretty specific about what they wanted when they did open to channel years ago, and brought in the “right being” for their level. My friend Rick Ferguson started out channeling a Rabbi named Ben back when just about everyone was channeling all the big names like Siddhartha, Jesus, Mother Mary, Moses, Athena, Zeus and so on. Rick stayed in his integrity and didn’t get into ego about anything. Later on, as all those other people that were supposedly channeling the big names started dropping off the map (from what I remember, a lot of them died), Rick began channeling Merlin the Magician… who turned out to be an aspect of the Cosmic Christ. Rick and Merlin have been together so long that they’ve merged. Rick is doing more and better stuff now than ever before, too.

I recently heard from a customer of mine out on the west coast. She said that she was receiving information from her “guides” that she was supposed to begin channeling Jesus Christ soon, so she didn’t need to study any more and they would be telling her everything she needed to know. I tuned in and dowsed to discover that the ol’ girl had aliens. Oh boy.  I tap danced short of telling her that, but I did convince her to test the heck out of these so-called “guides”. 

I recently talked to a healer who mentioned that a mutual friend had been listening to some git that claims to be channeling Edgar Cayce. This friend is pretty new to the new age stuff, and still tends to be fairly naïve about a lot of it, even though she is pretty energy sensitive.  Now… Edgar Cayce was an old-school channeler through whom a collection of beings would talk when he took a nap. Edgar would have a secretary sitting by asking questions about specific cases and taking notes as the entities yammered on. So… my friend is actually listening to someone who claims to be channeling a channeler? Not the high beings that Cayce channeled, but Cayce? Awwww man! The sad part is that she is taking directives from this git… namely putting stuff in storage so she can put her house on the market in a hurry. My friend is a pack-rat, so she has a lot of crap to stow. So far, two of the time frames this git told her have already come and gone, and my friend is still taking this person’s advice. I hope she isn’t hurt by it. At some point, she will wake up and smell the coffee. I do believe I will send her the link to this little blog.

THE MODERN WAY TO CHANNEL:

We are all familiar with Reiki… the person administering Reiki is called a “Reiki channel” because we are channeling the universal life force energy to the people we are offering the energy to… kind of like a soda straw.  We can, of course, choose to take a little for our own healing as we are bringing in these beautiful energies for the other person. A lot of us are experiencing a walking method of bringing in the advanced information we require… instead of having to give control of our bodies to some entity. We can ask our guides and angels to bring us the information we seek before we go to sleep and often we find that we got the guidance overnight, or that the correct person will walk into our lives to teach us what we need to know. Probably the single easiest way to channel, is dowsing… which is using a simple tool, getting out of your way and letting your Higher Self tell you what you need to know with the “yes” and “no” pendulum codes you set up. I use this every day in my medicine jewelry business, and the people at the local health food stores don’t even blink when you whip out a pendulum.

Ankle-Biters and Divine Light

It never fails.  It doesn’t matter whether it is during peak or off hours, the wait staff of any restaurant will invariably attempt to stick us in the booth next to the family with multiple kids.  I think that children should never be dragged into restaurants unless they are trained to sit up straight and behave like miniature adults.  Most parents are far too lacking in their skills to manage this level of discipline.  It is the absolute apex of rudeness to subject everyone else to their uncontrolled running, screaming, squawking brats. 

We were early for lunch at one place, and it was darn near empty, but the hostess led us across the big empty room, and tried to seat us next to the family with three small kids.  I told the girl to keep us away from the kids. I quickly stated that we don’t have kids and we don’t want to be anywhere near the little squawkers.  The hostess quickly placed us on the opposite side of the room.  

Another time was at a crowded “Aussie-themed” steakhouse.  The only spot open was near the kitchen in the back, in a booth next to a preppie-looking young family with two small children.  I was seated with my back to them, and my husband was across the table from me, facing them. The younger of the kids was cranky and inconsolable.  The young parents tried all sorts of tricks and distractions but couldn’t seem to get a handle on the brat.  The kid started bawling… loud… and my nerves were about to be shot.  I put my hands together and shut my eyes in silent prayer… “Creator, please send Love & Light to this kid to remind him where he came from!”  I focused on the visualization of a beam of light from the heart of God hitting this kid.  The kid was quiet before I opened my eyes.  My husband was shocked at how abruptly he quieted down.  Around the time we were served our salads, we started hearing noise from the kid again… he was singing.  Based on what we were hearing, the older kid’s mood seemed elevated as well, because he pointed at the various kitschy decorations on the walls and discussed it with his parents.  They were pretty peaceful after that.

I decided to try to elevate the mood for the whole restaurant, which felt stressed and erratic.  The staff seemed hurried and distracted.  Again, with my hands together, “Okay, Creator, let’s try this again!  Let’s bring in Love & Light for everyone here and fill the whole place up! Let everyone feel it!”  The restaurant didn’t get much quieter, but the staff seemed a bit more relaxed and focused, so I considered that worthwhile and gave thanks. 

You can either let the people surrounding you to determine the quality of your experiences, or you can simply shift things to your own liking.  This can be applied anywhere.  The more negative the place and people, the more you may have to work at it, but it is worthwhile to keep at it for the sake of your own comfort level. 

Years ago, I worked at a family-owned printing company.  The owners were, and still are, genuine jerks; control-based as the day is long.  The owner was a philanderer, so his wife posted her shrewish mother at a small desk in his office to keep tabs on him.  These people profited from brokering the employee health insurance, and did all sorts of other shady things.  The sales staff completely turned over about 6 times during the 3 years I was there, and the production and press departments were only slightly better.  It was there that I finally got experience on the right computer graphics programs to get my own career back on track.  To make it tolerable for myself, I did Ceremony on the place to anchor Divine Love & Light to it, and I updated it every so often.  After I left, I released that vibe and the place went into upheaval and lost a number of accounts that I had handled.  The owners tried to replace me with people who had very little experience.  I get occasional reports from my two friends that remained there, and boy do they miss me. 

I guess if it really mattered to me I could block the negativity into the place using Divine Metallic Gold Light, and make the owners stew in their own juice, but that would make things tougher for my friends. 

Don’t tell me you can’t control your environment.
