A friend of mine once bought me new age jewelry for my birthday at a time in my life when I felt rather sad and my self-esteem was quite low. The new age jewelry was a rose quartz and silver bracelet. When I wore the bracelet it seemed that I liked myself better. I have come to find out that Reiki healers believe that rose quartz opens up the heart chakra and to all forms of love. I didn’t know about this belief at the time but it makes sense to me. Esteem for oneself surely counts as one of the forms of love.
My rose quartz bracelet snapped some time ago, but I still have the stones in my jewelry box. I hold one of the rose quartz stones in my palm for a while every time my self-esteem could do with a boost.
