A while ago I went up north to Sedona, Arizona. We live in Phoenix, so Sedona is conveniently located just about 2 hours away. As the "New Age" capital of the world, Sedona boasts many types of metaphysical jewelry, literature and, of course, vortexes.

Now, I was never really into that stuff, but when I came there the air was just different. Something about how people lived and the stores there just made me feel really new agey. So new agey, in fact, that I wanted to buy a souvenir and get my own meditation stone.

By now you are probably wondering what the heck a meditation stone is. Simply, it is any object (usually an attractive looking rock like amethyst or quartz) that you can use to meditate and "charge" with positive energy. Many people use them, and often a meditation stone will be carried with you like around your neck or in your pocket. 

So, go out and look for a pretty rock somewhere and make sure it is genuine. Take care of it and think of positive thoughts, and it will help you stay cool in the summer heat!
