New Age Healing Gemstone Jewelry

Native Americans have used “stone medicine” since before they came across the land bridge through Alaska into North America. They brought with them a number of their favorite stones. Their ancient shamen had particular stones they used to bring up energy, specifically red jade… and those pieces of red jade were built into necklaces with whatever other objects of power they used.  Over time, the red jade in these necklaces soaked up the natural skin oils and darkened. Some of these pieces are still being passed down through generations. The red jade may be black, but it still works well.

More new stones are being discovered every so often, and they usually have a real purpose and are needed in the new age movement at the time of their discovery. The Earth Mother is trying to give us the tools for our unfoldment.  

For example, I recently found some Hemimphorite beads… which are white with blue blushes and have kind of a soft granular texture… these stones feel great, but are all about teaching people about personal responsibility. This is important because if you are conscious about your choices and take responsibility, then you have no need to play victim. This is very freeing!

Another new stone is called Hypersthene, which is a deep, dark plumb purple type of sheen obsidian, with the sparkly sheen in banding on the surface reflecting the light. On the initial level provides a nice “high”… that and a glass of wine is a party! But over time, the Hypersthene will dredge up all your insecurities and fears about death and dying… it really puts it up in your grille for realization and processing. If you are not afraid, then you free yourself to make some real progress in your personal development!

One more new stone is Angelite, first discovered near the time of the Harmonic Convergence in Peru. The stone is a powder blue and has a granular texture, and is actually considered a type of Anhydrite. Angelite heightens perception and awareness, and assists one to be in contact with angels, ascended masters and other non-physical beings. It is a real channeling helper. One lady bought a piece from me wrapped with a collection of other head-chakra stones, and reported a week later that she was seeing auras!

In my own experience and methodologies, “medicine jewelry” always has other layers to it. I’ve been making and marketing my special brand of jewelry-as-tools-for-transformation for many years through my website www.turtleisland.cc   When making a piece of jewelry to assist a person on their path, I tune in to their Higher Self and dowse what all goes along with the base stone to make it work optimally for that person. The real "medicine" comes in when I bring in that person’s Higher Self again, along with an assortment of Angels and Ascended Masters, to coordinate what energies and programming go into the piece to really make it work. At this point all the stones I’ve put together become harmonized and learn to work together, then the energies soup it up and really give it purpose and power. This blessing can often be felt by the end-user at the time I do this energy work, days before the piece arrives in the mail.

My clients often report back with some very profound experiences. One very mousey little lady, who had spent her early life in abuse, wore her new piece and discovered within a couple of days that she could suddenly debate anyone clearly and calmly. Another lady ordered several necklaces to discover that her house, which had held a continuous torrent of anger and abuse from several family members for years, suddenly calmed down and everyone started getting along. Another lady received the special “stealth bracelet” I made for her, and discovered that the assortment of panhandlers that usually accosted her on her way to and from work, suddenly didn’t see her… and some people where she works didn’t see her unless she physically stopped them.
